Sevelle is a private AI assistant that runs entirely on your own Windows PC. You buy it once, install it, and chat with it much like ChatGPT — except nothing you type ever leaves your computer.

Same idea, different tradeoff. ChatGPT runs on company servers and reads what you send it. Sevelle runs a smaller open-source AI model on your own graphics card — completely private and yours, but not as powerful as the biggest cloud models.

Writing and editing, brainstorming, summarizing long text, answering questions, explaining things, drafting emails, and thinking through ideas. It is a capable everyday assistant.

It means the AI model — the brain — lives and runs on your machine instead of in a data center. Your conversations are processed on your own hardware.

No. One flat price, paid once. No monthly fees, no account, no login.

Never your screen or camera. Files: only if you choose to let it. Sevelle can work with files in the folders you pick — or in a single file, if that's all you want it to see — for the chat you share them with, and only after you switch that on — it's off when you install it. Even then it can only look unless you also switch on organising, and it asks your permission before it changes, moves or removes anything. Nothing it reads is ever uploaded; the AI is running on your machine.

Yes, if you turn it on. Share a folder with a chat and Sevelle can list, read and search it — and with a second switch, create folders, rename, move and tidy files. It shows you every change and waits for you to approve it. Anything it removes goes to your Recycle Bin, and there's an undo button for changes it made.

Only if you deliberately enable it, and it's meant for adults (18+, or with a parent involved). Sevelle writes the command, shows it to you in full, and runs it only if you say yes. Two things to be clear about: a command runs with your own permissions, so it isn't limited to your chosen folder the way file actions are — and unlike file changes, a command can't be undone. Sevelle refuses obviously destructive ones and warns when a command looks like it reaches outside your folder, but those checks help, they don't guarantee. If that doesn't appeal, leave it off — everything else works without it.

It runs as a normal Windows app on your own machine and works offline. The features that touch your files are all off until you turn them on, separately, and Sevelle shows you every change and waits for you to approve it — nothing is altered that you didn’t agree to. As with any tool that can change files, keep backups of things that matter.

No account, no login, no API key. You buy it, download it, and use it.

After you buy, you land on a download page with your license key and a download button. Run the file like any normal Windows program.

No. That is SmartScreen. Sevelle is code-signed, so Windows names its verified publisher and won't hard-block it — but a brand-new app can still get this notice until it builds up a download history. Click More info, then Run anyway. Every small software company goes through this at first.

The installer is around 552 MB. Then, on first launch, you download one AI model — anywhere from about 1 GB to 20 GB depending on which you pick. That download happens only once.

The installer itself is quick. The one-time model download is the longest part and depends on your internet speed. You never do it again.

No. No account, no API key, no extra software. Everything it needs comes with it or is downloaded by the setup wizard.

Once. The first time you open Sevelle you paste the ID from your receipt to activate it — after that it runs on your own machine, no accounts and no subscription. When you're online it quietly confirms your licence is still valid; a refunded or cancelled licence is deactivated.

Into your Program Files like a normal application. Your personal data — chats and memory — lives in your Documents folder.

Yes, you can pick the install location during setup.

Like any Windows app, through Settings, then Apps. Your chats and memory are plain files you can delete separately if you want.

Just type in the chat box and press enter, exactly like any chat app. It replies in the same window.

Yes. Sevelle keeps a memory of things you tell it to remember, stored as plain text files you can open, read, edit, or delete yourself.

On your own computer, in your Documents folder, as readable files. There is no hidden cloud database.

Yes. You can attach files such as PDFs so it can use them in the conversation.

No, and that is on purpose. It answers from the AI model knowledge and from files you give it. An AI that cannot reach the internet cannot leak your conversations to it.

Yes. You can keep multiple separate chats.

Not in the current version — Sevelle is text-based right now. A voice feature may return in a future update.

It works best in English, and can handle other languages depending on the AI model you choose.

Yes. It can help write, explain, and debug code, within the limits of the model you are running.

No. Like all AI, it can be wrong or make things up. Check anything important — it is an assistant, not an authority, and not a substitute for a professional.

Yes. After setup you can disconnect from the internet entirely and it keeps working, because the model, your memory, and your chats all live on your own disk.

No. Your conversations never leave your machine.

Two small checks when it starts, and only if you're online: one for a newer version, and one that sends your licence ID to confirm your licence is still valid. Both send only technical info — never anything about your conversations — and the update check can be turned off in Settings.

Essentially nothing. There is no account and no tracking of your chats. The only optional touchpoint is a feedback form you choose to use.

Only files you explicitly give it. It does not scan your drive.

Your chats and memory are plain files in your Documents folder. They stay until you delete them.

Not really — that is the point. Because everything runs and stays on your computer, you are not handing your conversations to anyone.

A Windows 10 or 11 PC with an Nvidia graphics card that has at least 4 GB of VRAM. Most gaming PCs from the last several years qualify.

Not yet. Sevelle is Windows-only today.

Not yet — it currently needs an Nvidia GPU. AMD and Intel support may come if there is enough demand.

No. A supported Nvidia GPU is required, because the AI model runs on the graphics card.

Your GPU may not have enough memory for the model you picked. Switch to a smaller model in Settings — the app tells you which ones fit your card.

The setup wizard checks your graphics card and recommends the best model for it. More VRAM lets you run a smarter model.

About 800 MB for the app itself, plus roughly 1 to 20 GB for the AI model you choose. Give yourself ~25 GB of headroom if you plan to run one of the largest models.

It uses your graphics card while it is thinking, then releases it. It runs as a normal app and closes like one.

Yes. When a new version is available, Sevelle offers it and installs it for you, at no extra cost.

Sevelle checks at startup and shows an update option when there is a new version. It is one click.

The version you own keeps working on your machine indefinitely. No server can switch it off.
